Q&A: The Snack Behind the Crunch
Lead food technologist Nadia A. on getting potato sticks to break the right way.
‘A potato stick is a small object with a lot of structural ambition,’ she says. ‘It needs to crack on the first bite, hold its shape against a coating, and not turn to dust by the time it reaches the customer.’
The first bite
Nadia leads our R&D bench in Cairo. She joined Frita in 2022 after a decade at one of Europe’s largest snack manufacturers. Her work directly shaped the Sea Salt and Jalapeño Chili recipes — and she’s currently leading the seasoning trials for the May 2026 limited edition.
